Baking for the Future

LHS students were caught today in the LMS CTED cafe baking and icing the cookies for the Progressive Women's Home Tour on Monday! Under the direction of LMS teacher Melissa Young, these students are crafting their skills to pave a way for their future after high school. They know all the rules to run a clean kitchen, they followed the recipe by measuring and mixing, baked the 25 dozen cookies, and iced them. They were rewarded with getting to taste one that didn't look perfect! Now that's a paycheck in itself! We are so proud that LISD offers this program that enables a better future for graduates!
