ACE Project Director

Melyna Campos is LISD's ACE Project Director.  She is married and has a five year old daughter.  She is a huge fan of the arts. When she's not playing music at home with her family, she participates in local happenings like visiting LHUCA events or joining the Wallace Theater. She loves to spend time tinkering in what she calls their "Sound Room" at home.  She once rode a bicycle 5,000 miles on a bike tour of Europe from the Northern Italian Alps to Budapest and back, which has inspired her working on a rails-to-trails tour with her family one day. She is happy to be involved in the work that she does through the LISD ACE program. The stories of underserved communities deeply connect her to her roots. She is a first-generation college graduate (BA in Italian Studies) and a first-generation American in her family.  She likes supporting underprivileged communities by connecting students and families with opportunities to bridge gaps toward their success.
