Hatching Eggs

LHS students in Mrs. Monica Gonzales' science classes finished up their year by participating in the "Hatchling Egg Project." These students had studied life cycle and reproduction. Mrs. Gonzales received a grant from DonarsChoos.org to purchase the incubators and the students then completed their learning by placing a fertilized egg in the incubators to watch and learn which eggs would hatch. They were engaged in math and science skills as they were responsible for measuring temperature, humidity, and time. They experienced the complete process of incubation and seeing life born. The hatchlings were cared for until they were big enough to survive on a farm by themselves. Thank you, Mrs. Gonzales, for engaging your students in a memorable project. You're in the right place!
