National School Nurse Day!

Levelland ISD is celebrating National School Nurse Day! We honor our five school nurses who care for students and promote learning because they are healthier. Our nurses see many children throughout each day who don’t feel well or who are hurt. But they also provide a wealth of information that supports a successful education. Our nurses provide more than band-aids for scrapes on the playground and check for fevers when a child shows the first sign of illness, they are first responders for medical concerns, and administer mid-day doses of medication as well. They advocate for students by making referrals for pediatric care when necessary. As a team member, school nurses play a vital role in guiding students to healthy lifestyles. We are very thankful that we have nurses available in our schools. Thank you for keeping LISD healthy!
