ACE Teaches Waste in Place

LISD ACE Project Director Melyna Campos, ACE Family Engagement Specialist April Benavidez, and Chamber Programs Coordinator Kelly Williams presented a Waste in Place Lesson to the Keep Levelland Beautiful Committee. LISD students are learning the WIP lessons, making connections with garbage, how it affects us, and what to do about it and these LISD educators did the same with these adults. Mayor Barbra Penner reminded everyone that we have to start with our students to impact the world now and later. WIP activities are happening on each of our six campuses, from clean-ups to STEM projects with plants. We appreciate that our ACE directors are partnering with our community! Thank you both for being great leaders. You're in the right place!
