Republic Donates to Bill's BackPacks!

LISD Director of Instructional Services and Bill's BackPacks Board Member Donna Pugh is proud to announce that RepublicServices and the Republic Services Charitable Foundation have awarded $1,000 to the Bill’s Backpacks program within Levelland ISD. The funds have been used to purchase food items to provide meals for students on weekends and during holidays. RepublicServices partners with many local nonprofit organizations across the nation. They support programs in the areas where their employees and customers live and work. Republic’s Community Grant program allows for an open application process with a preference on addressing neighborhood revitalization, safety, disaster relief, and social services. According to Donna Pugh, “We were so pleased to have Republic Services join the list of partners for Bill’s Backpacks. Obviously, Republic Services provides a necessary resource in our community and we are most appreciative of their additional investment in the Levelland and Levelland ISD communities.” Kudos to Republic Services Charitable Foundation for helping out LISD kids!
