Yesterday Xara Marquez Castillo presented at the Noon Lions Club about being chosen to attend a trip to the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC earlier this summer! Her LMS teacher, Mrs. Reba Griggs introduced Xara to members as chosen to represent LMS at the conference because she is a leader who makes good choices all day every day, and who always goes out of her way to show others the right path. Xara explained to the group her favorite parts of meeting new friends from all over the USA, how they took workshops and grew as leaders, and about her favorite parts of Washington DC! Thank you, Mrs. Griggs for nominating a great girl to represent. We know that Xara learned from this experience and will continue to share her knowledge with her friends at LMS!
