PCT Students Receive Scrubs

Mrs. Anitra Loa and LHS send out congratulations to the Patient Care Tech students on receiving their scrubs. Our students have already learned that scrubs are essential for patient safety and identification in a clinical setting, while also giving these kids an upper hand in being professional! This LHS course is amazing at preparing students for work after high school. They gain healthcare knowledge, including anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and patient safety. They also learn essential clinical skills like taking vital signs, assisting with daily living activities (bathing, feeding), performing EKG and phlebotomy (drawing blood), and providing emotional support. They will learn about medical records, ethical and legal standards, and how to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and physicians' offices. These students will witness a real brain surgery next month—how cool is that? We are so proud of this amazing course that LHS offers! Thank you Mrs. Loa, for leading these students to excellence!
