Levelland ISD finished up National Literacy Month! Students at Levelland ABC, Capitol Elementary, and South Elementary all participated in the HEB Big Texas Reading Challenge. Across our campuses, teachers were spotted reading aloud to students, classrooms engaged with digital read-alouds, students experienced the fun of “reading in the dark,” and many were simply caught enjoying a book for pleasure! Now we’re encouraging families to keep the momentum going at home. The goal is simple: read together at least three times this week. HEB has challenged families across Texas to read for 30 minutes, 3 times a week. We thank our librarians for inspiring children to develop a lifelong love of books.
