Dear Levelland ISD Community Members,

Beginning in the Fall of 2026, Levelland ISD will be returning 5th grade to our elementary campuses. This decision comes after thoughtful discussion and input from our stakeholders, and we believe it will create even greater opportunities for our students. After meeting as administrative teams and visiting with staff at Levelland Middle School, South Elementary, Capitol Elementary, and 1st grade at ABC, we’ve developed some strong initial plans. We give a huge shout-out to our amazing teachers and staff who have shared outstanding ideas and insights on how to make this transition serve our students in the best possible way. Their heart, talent, and commitment are what make this district so special. To ensure this move remains student-centered, we will host an open forum on December 8th at 6:30 p.m. for parents and community members. This meeting will give us the opportunity to share more about what the transition could look like and, most importantly, to hear from you. Your feedback and perspective are invaluable as we shape this next step for our district. It is truly a blessing to be a Lobo, and I am grateful every day for the people who make Levelland ISD such an incredible place for children to learn and grow.
