Levelland ISD Superintendent Dr. Donald Heseman announces the Levelland ISD Elementary Reconfiguration Plan for Fall 2026. We are planning an elementary reconfiguration beginning Fall 2026 to better support our students and families. As part of this plan, 5th-grade students will relocate from Levelland Middle School to the elementary level, attending South Elementary or Capitol Elementary.

This changes helps to:

✔️ Strengthen academic continuity
✔️ Create smoother grade-level transitions
✔️ Optimize district facilities
✔️ Support students, families, and staff

Enrollment information:
• Enrollment maps will be followed for incoming 2nd-grade students
• South Elementary and Capitol Elementary will be mirror-image schools, offering the same
programming and opportunities on each campus
