What started as a Keep Levelland Beautiful dream with Mayor Breann Buxkemper came to life today at Levelland ISD! LISD was proud to partner with Keep Levelland Beautiful to add a welcoming touch to the entrances of LMS & LHS. Like so many great things in Levelland, this project became a reality because our community came together. There were many hands involved from beginning to end! LISD thanks The Chamber and KLB for all the work they did in getting this organized and done. We are incredibly thankful for our LISD Maintenance crew, who placed the large planters, filled them & installed the signage that gives each one special meaning. We send out a huge thank-you to Mayor Buxkemper & LISD Board of Trustees member Matt Buxkemper, who planted all of the beautiful flowers, even in 100+ degree West Texas heat, and continued caring for them by watering on weekends! Keeping everything beautiful has also been a team effort. We appreciate LHS custodian Estella & our LMS Life Skills students for faithfully watering and caring for the plants each school day. Their work is an important part of keeping this project blooming! And, of course, this project would not have been possible without the individuals, families & community organizations who generously sponsored these beautiful additions:
