Dia de los Muertos

Our Levelland ISD students have been exploring the beautiful Mexican tradition of Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead! Through colorful artwork, hands-on activities & meaningful lessons, students discovered that Día de los Muertos is not about being scary or spooky. And Mr. Hope was selected to participate in a special Dia de los Muertos workshop. It is a special time to celebrate life, honor loved ones who have passed away & keep their memories alive. What a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience another culture, appreciate its rich traditions & learn that although we may celebrate differently, the love we have for our families connects us all! At Levelland ISD, we believe learning about different cultures helps our students grow in understanding, kindness & respect for others!
